SEO: Where I Come In

What exactly is search engine optimization (SEO)? It's the process of optimizing your website and content to boost visibility on search engine results pages (SERPs). SEO has a lot to do with optimizing a website so it shows up on the first page of a Google search to create more organic traffic without paying for ads.

What's the big deal? Consider this: when was the last time you clicked on a paid ad in the search results? You likely gravitated towards the organic listings, the ones that appeared naturally based on their relevance and quality. SEO helps you secure those top positions & increase your chances of attracting customers. According to
HubSpot, 75% of searchers click on the results from only the first page of the SERPs.

SEO is complex. We're talking Google sending out robots that follow hyperlinks, which find unique content and then rank the URLs. It’s called crawling, indexing and ranking. On top of this algorithm, there are many ways to increase your chances of popping up first through keyword research, URL formatting, guest blogging and so much more. 🤯

Big picture? If you want to rank high on Google, you have to create high-quality content that people want to read.

SEO is often a specialty in itself, and social media content is one aspect of the all-encompassing marketing ecosystem. As a social media manager, I help you build a strong social media presence to encourage "signals" AKA engagement such as likes, shares, & comments. I also offer blog post writing, Google Business Profile setup and Google Review training, all of which help tremendously with SEO.

Remember: SEO takes time to yield results. You likely won’t see many changes after 2-3 weeks of effort. But if you keep at it and review progress, you'll see results! If you’re ready to boost your social media efforts,
let’s talk.
